Sr. Program Manager

Riverside Research is seeking an experienced Sr Program Manager to lead materials characterization and modeling R&D programs.

This individual will manage a large technically diverse team, fostering customer relationships, while overseeing financials, cost, and schedule for a variety of projects and contracts.

This position requires a leader with a proven track record of providing their staff growth opportunities by identifying, capturing, and winning new contract work in addition to on-contract growth to expand their portfolio and diversify our customer base.

• Establish and maintain effective customer relationships with a variety of stakeholders
• Supervise and mentor a large, technically diverse team
• Execute independently program management duties that include, but are not limited to, managing day-to-day operations, maintaining work plans and timelines, tracking and projecting program spending, preparing status reports/briefs, and ensuring program status is communicated to all stakeholders
• Work closely with the customer, cross-functional teams, and assigned engineers to plan and develop scope, deliverables, resources, work plan, budget, and schedule
• Collaborate with government customers, contractor partners, and technical leads to develop long-term strategies and prioritize near-term tasking
• Cultivate and maintain collaborative relationships with government and contract mission partners across the Department of War (DoW) and Intelligence Communities (IC)
• Manage subcontracting, consulting, and procurement activities for assigned programs
• Assess program issues and develop resolutions to meet schedule, quality, and customer goals
• Identify and capture new growth opportunities to expand business portfolio
• Other duties as assigned
• Active Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI/SAP
• 12+ years of experience and a Bachelor’s, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Engineering, Business/Management/Entrepreneurship, or related fields
• Active Program Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Prior program management experience with a DoW or IC contractor
• Must have recent experience managing R&D programs
• Proven track record of identifying, capturing, and solidifying new work along with on-contract growth opportunities
• Experience managing financials across a variety of projects and contracts
• Experience managing subcontractors, consultants, and procurement activities
