At our US MFG in Whitsett, NC, we drive excellence in manufacturing and logistics to support our Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG).
We are seeking a highly experienced and technically skilled Server Manufacturing Engineer to lead and optimize server production operations.
This role is critical to ensuring high-quality output, process efficiency, and alignment with Lenovo’s global manufacturing standards.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth product introductions.
Manufacturing Process Development: Design, validate, and implement new manufacturing processes, tooling, and test fixtures.
Supplier and Manufacturing Management: Collaborate with contract manufacturers (CMs) and suppliers to develop and optimize custom parts and production processes.
Documentation and Compliance: Prepare documentation such as bills of materials (BOMs), control plans, and work instructions, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Risk Management: Conduct design for manufacturability (DFM) reviews, evaluate risks, and implement mitigation strategies throughout the product lifecycle.
Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement activities, analyze production performance metrics, and provide technical support to the manufacturing floor.
Engineering Knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze production data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
