Sr. Process Engineer (19004)

The Sr.

Process Engineer is responsible for leading the design and execution of process systems, including developing design bases, evaluating process options, and optimizing unit performance.

This role performs and oversees a full range of process engineering activities—such as simulations, heat and material balances, equipment sizing, and safety studies—while ensuring alignment with industry standards and project requirements.

Working with minimal supervision, the Sr.

Process Engineer coordinates across disciplines, supports project planning efforts, and provides technical leadership and guidance to junior staff to ensure consistent, high-quality project deliverables.

• Leads the design of a process unit, including establishing process design basis, development of process options, and optimization of selected design.
• Has a comprehensive understanding of principles, theories, concepts, and industry practices and standards and their application; responsible for performing and overseeing all aspects of engineering and design.
• Works under minimal supervision; work is reviewed for adequacy on completion.
• Provides technical guidance to less experienced design and engineering personnel.
• Performs and oversees all process engineering functions including feasibility & optimization studies, process simulations & heat/material balances, process equipment sizing, process data for instrument & mechanical data sheets, hydraulic piping line sizing, relief calculations & flare network modeling, and other philosophies/reports.
