About the Role
ALS Lighting LLC seeks a Senior Pre-Sales / Lighting Design Engineer for an on-site role in Abu Dhabi. You will develop detailed lighting designs, perform calculations, prepare technical proposals, and support the sales team.

Responsibilities
- Develop detailed lighting designs compliant with local and international standards
- Perform lighting calculations and prepare technical proposals and presentations
- Support sales team with technical pre sales activities
- Review project specifications and recommend suitable lighting solutions
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to clarify requirements
- Prepare BOQs, CAD or BIM layouts, and technical documentation
- Respond to technical queries during tender and project execution phases
- Maintain library for product catalogues, lighting standards, and product plug ins
- Coordinate with design team for designated projects
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in lighting industry
- Advanced knowledge in lighting design software
- Advanced knowledge in lighting design standards
- Advanced knowledge in products solutions and applications
- Knowledge in sustainability & energy efficiency requirements for lighting
- Ability to prepare lighting design presentations
- Ability to prepare technical compliance and submittals

Role Description
- Develop detailed lighting designs, perform lighting calculations, and prepare technical proposals and presentations for clients.
- Support the sales team with technical pre sales activities, review project specifications, and recommend suitable lighting solutions.
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to clarify requirements and optimize designs for energy efficiency and compliance.
- Prepare BOQs, CAD or BIM layouts, technical documentation, and respond to technical queries during tender and project execution phases.
Qualifications
- Complete lighting designs compliant with relevant local and international standards.
- Advanced knowledge in lighting design software, standards, and product solutions.
- Knowledge in sustainability and energy efficiency requirements for lighting.
- Prepare lighting design presentations as per design intent required by clients, architects, and end users.
- Maintain library for product catalogues, lighting standards, and product plug ins.
- Prepare technical compliance and submittals.
- Coordinate with Sales Engineer to prepare technical submittal and fulfill customer requirements.
- Prepare O&M manual and other necessary documents.
- Attend product trainings and technical/soft skills workshops.
- Build relationships with lighting designers, ID designers, MEP Consultants, and Landscape Architects.
- Record and maintain computerized client/customer database.
- Respond to technical queries and provide competent and timely support.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in lighting industry.
