A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required, with a focus in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related discipline. Terraform module library built and maintained for multi-team use
Terraform (IaC) — version-controlled, peer-reviewed network deployments
Container networking (Kubernetes CNI, service mesh)
Python and/or PowerShell for network automation and scripting
Azure Bicep, ARM templates, or AWS CloudFormation
Git, GitHub/Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipeline participation
SolarWinds, PRTG, or Grafana for on-premises observability
Datadog, Azure Monitor, or AWS CloudWatch for network observability
AI-assisted tooling (Claude, GitHub Copilot) in engineering workflows
Network Services: DHCP, DNS, NTP, SNMP, NetFlow/IPFIX, TACACS+/RADIUS
Must also be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
Able to communicate technical architecture and recommendations clearly to both engineering peers and non-technical management. Can effectively apply structured root cause analysis to complex, multi-layer network issues spanning on-premises and cloud environments. Self-directed work style with strong ownership and the ability to lead projects end-to-end with minimal supervision, while keeping stakeholders informed. Skilled at producing high-quality documentation — architecture diagrams, runbooks, and IaC module docs — as a standard work output. Mentorship mindset; invests in developing junior team members through pairing, review, and knowledge sharing. Flexible and adaptable approach to work, and can easily adjust to shifts in priorities as the needs of the business change.
