Sr Network DevOps Engineer - Operations

Role overview

Core responsibilities

• Design CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, digital-twin validation, and zero-downtime network configuration deployments.
• Establish GitOps workflows and use Git as the source of truth for network state, policy, and infrastructure design.
• Develop reusable automation frameworks and playbooks to eliminate manual network operations.
• Design software-defined networks and container networking across cloud and bare-metal environments.
• Provide Tier 4 technical authority for complex network, routing, and overlay issues.
• Build telemetry, monitoring, alerting, and automated remediation platforms.

Engineering and collaboration

• Partner with enterprise design, SRE, and platform teams to deliver resilient, secure, multi-tenant network infrastructure.
• Write and review Infrastructure-as-Code using Ansible, Terraform, Helm, Python, and Bash.
• Automate security policies, routing validation, firewall and load-balancer configuration, and network health checks.
• Drive code-based infrastructure definitions and dynamic technical documentation.
• Mentor engineers, lead design reviews, and support cross-functional engineering initiatives.

Required qualifications

• Five or more years of progressive network engineering, DevOps, or SRE experience is required.
• Expert network automation experience with Ansible, Terraform, Python, and relevant network libraries is required.
• Advanced expertise in SDN, overlays, Kubernetes networking, enterprise routing, security fabrics, and Linux networking is required.
• CCIE-level or equivalent knowledge of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and EVPN is required.
• Experience with CI/CD platforms and infrastructure test-driven development is required.

Preferred qualifications

• Deep telecommunications experience with VoIP, RTP, SIP peering or trunking, and session border controllers is advantageous.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to executive stakeholders are expected.
