Role overview

Lead a team of technical pre-sales Solutions Architects and Solutions Engineers across the UAE market.

Partner with Sales to drive revenue and improve collaboration during complex sales cycles.

Communicate complex, business value-focused solutions and build relationships with important partners in large corporations.

Impact and responsibilities

  • Hire, mentor, and grow the UAE pre-sales team.
  • Build a motivated and collaborative culture aligned with customer obsession, teamwork, and inclusion.
  • Improve the return on investment of Solutions Architect involvement in sales cycles.
  • Ensure solution-based and value-based selling across the field-engineering organization.
  • Assess account needs and revenue potential in the assigned region.
  • Engage customer executives to build strategic partnerships.
  • Align with partners and internal services on account implementation strategies.
  • Build Databricks' brand with regional Marketing and Sales teams.

What we look for

  • Experience managing Big Data, Cloud, or SaaS professionals.
  • Experience in consumption-based business environments and in mentoring and scaling technical teams.
  • Success creating processes that improve efficiency and product focus for technical field members.
  • Ability to collaborate with Sales and cross-functional leaders.
  • Technical or consulting background in data engineering, database technologies, or data science.
  • Strong communication skills and experience dealing with clients in the UAE.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English.
  • Passion for the data and AI market and cloud software models, with the ability to explain Databricks solution value.
