Role Overview

Senior Lead Software Engineer role within JPMorganChase Asset and Wealth Management.

Deliver secure, stable, scalable technology products and provide deep technical problem-solving across technologies and applications.

Job Responsibilities

  • Optimize backend applications for speed, reliability, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with technical architects and designers on new products.
  • Drive adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices across teams.
  • Apply SDLC and TLM tools, including approved AI-assisted automation, at scale.
  • Promote Agile practices including Scrum, Lean, BDD, TDD, and continuous delivery.
  • Research technologies, identify best practices, and provide technical guidance.
  • Work with globally distributed teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Collaborate with Wealth Managers and Product Specialists and synthesize feedback.
  • Present and demonstrate solutions to users, stakeholders, and technology groups.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on system design, application development, testing, and operational stability experience.
  • Java and Spring framework experience, including Spring Boot, MVC, Cloud, Flux, and Security.
  • ReactJS, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3 web UI development experience.
  • Relational database development skills including SQL and data modeling.
  • Experience leading approved AI-assisted development tools and validating their outputs.
  • Responsible AI experience involving data sensitivity, secure handling, resiliency, and security.
  • Independent problem-solving ability and practical cloud-native experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Reactive programming experience is preferred.
  • DevOps experience is preferred.
  • Kafka and RabbitMQ experience is preferred.
  • Financial services experience, including investment securities knowledge, is preferred.
  • Exposure to Atlassian tracking, collaboration, and code quality tools is preferred.
