Key Responsibilities
Help our clients achieve their goals
Work with Senior Interior Designers and Project Managers to meet KZF goals and objectives
Seek advice and counsel from Project Team and Director of Interior Design Services as needed
Support Project Team and Director of Interior Design with assigned projects or activities
Lead and mentor supporting designers on team
Interface with all professional disciplines assigned to the project to coordinate the Interior Design work

Work with the Director and/or Project Team to establish design parameters consistent with the project scope
Over sees and participates in developing budget for hours for projects
Prepare design documents as required for all phases of design (concept, schematic, design development, construction documents)
Conduct field investigations as required to understand project requirements
Prepare building interior design studies as required
Assist with researching building materials and systems and select appropriate items for incorporation into the design
Maintain a general knowledge of architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural, fire protection and telecom building systems; coordinate these systems with the interior design
Prepare documents in conformance with KZF standards and quality control requirements
Assist in the development and maintenance of interior design standards as assigned by the Director of Project
Support Business Development activities, including marketing proposals, interviews, conference attendance, etc.
Ambassador and steward of the firm’s portfolio of work with ability to guide and educate others
Be able to prepare and set up presentations, FF&E standards, bid documents, material binders required by project
Promote design knowledge within the interior design group.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in interior design
Adhere to a budget and timelines
Able to manage junior and intermediate designers on team
Experience producing Interior Design and construction documents in an A/E consulting firm
Proficiency in REVIT (preferred)
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, SketchUp, ENSCAPE, visualization skills
Comfortable with a broad range of projects in design types
Familiarity and experience working with building codes
Familiarity with building design, and knowledge of material and furniture
Proactive and assertive in problem solving
Comfortable working on parallel assignments and working on multiple projects at a time.
Comfortable working in teams and making group presentations
Familiarity with A/E industry BIM standards a plus
Proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation a plus
LEED certification, and WELL AP a plus
To manage confidential, and sensitive information
Good written and oral communications skills; fluent in speaking, reading and writing in English
Willing to travel for work
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Commercial, Industrial and Mixed-Use Developments including Civic, Public Safety, Education, Healthcare, etc.
LEED accreditation or other sustainability credentials
Familiarity with Deltek, Bluebeam, or other project management tools
