Sr. I&C Design Engineer

• Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
• Ability to complete a pre-employment background check, breath alcohol test, and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.
• This is a sensitive/safety-sensitive position and is subject to DOT random drug and alcohol testing.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and access to the AEDC local area network.
• 8 years of progressive and relevant engineering experience.
• Bachelors degree in electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering from an accredited college or university.

• Progressive experience with control system theory and design concepts such as Controls Strategy and Algorithm Development, Math Modeling/Simulations, Calibration, Motion Controls, Process Controls, Process Instrumentation, Sequencing Systems, Stability & Control, Control Valve Selection and Design, Systems Safety, Networks & Field Busses, Control System Optimization, Learning and Rule-based Systems.

in the design or application of closed loop control systems Experience in feedback control systems Experience in the design of application of control systems using Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI)

with proportional, integral, derivative (PID) control systems

• Experience in the design or application of closed loop control systems

• Demonstrated skill in oral and written communication.
• Active Secret Security Clearance.
