Role Overview
Optum is hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to work on an Agile Scrum team.
The role develops user interfaces, secure web services, database solutions, documented source code, and AI-enabled engineering capabilities.
The engineer solves complex problems independently and mentors junior and mid-level engineers.
Primary Responsibilities
- Work with Product Management and business stakeholders on backlog refinement and planning.
- Design and develop user interfaces with modern front-end frameworks.
- Design and implement secure web services and database schemas.
- Develop well-documented source code.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on coding style and best practices.
- Analyze and investigate technical problems and provide explanations within the area of expertise.
Engineering and Collaboration
- Support data migration, cloud applications, analytics, and related development work.
- Coordinate with business partners to resolve issues and negotiate priorities and completion deadlines.
- Perform work in compliance with applicable employment contracts, company policies, procedures, and organizational directives.
