Responsibilities

  • Partner with India Leadership in the creation and execution of India business strategy. As a strategic part of the leadership team, plan and formulate long and short range business and financial objectives and goals, policies and programs.
  • Be a business partner and help the management team to formulate key strategic actions to achieve profitable growth in India and support global initiatives such as driving positive price realization and profitable growth in India.
  • Provide leadership and oversight in short-term and long-term Operation Plans with Management and all functional teams.
  • Assist higher management to review, design and implement Corporate/Local policy and Finance Management Standards.
  • Drive rigorous and transparent financial reporting, forecasting, financial planning and analysis, closing processes and budgeting for India operations to enable and provide input for optimal business planning decisions.
  • Provide analytical information/reports on local operations to India & Global LOB HQ. Manage and recommend and implement timely and appropriate action plan.
  • Oversee all financial operations and direct financial planning and structure
  • Coordinate, analyze and report the financial performance to the Management (financial performance, projections and other special projects as required)
  • Prepare short and long-term financial forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties.
  • Develop, implement and maintain accounting and administrative policies and procedures for a wide-ranging set of activities including financial accounting and reporting and other corporate policies.
  • Ensure financial compliance to corporate accounting and all pertinent US GAAP and regulations including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
  • Manage cash flow and implement monitoring system according to Company’s Treasury guideline to minimize risk and exposure including but not limited to exchange loss.
  • Develop and promote Departmental personnel and train others in organization as proactively needed. Continuously motivate team members, build bench, attract and retain talents

Qualifications

  • Person Specification
  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Chartered Accountant with 10+ years of experience in Accounting/Finance with strong knowledge of Commercial / Operations finance & Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Hands on experience in the area of Financial planning & Analysis & experience in dealing with outside India office / Global Finance team
  • Knowledge of US GAAP, SOX Compliance
  • Strong business process and controls orientation
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Previous commercial site FP&A experience preferred.
  • Ability to develop strong partnerships within and outside of finance irrespective of reporting lines
  • Engages effectively with and manages stakeholder relationships
  • Displays High Professional Integrity
  • Ensures High system orientation / process adherence.
  • Strong analytical skills to enable business decisions. Ability to apply sound judgment to business analysis and drive results within a cross-functional team.
  • Excellent systems skills with SAP, Hyperion, and Microsoft office products and database applications.
