Sr Engineer - Work Force Management

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and enhance UKG Pro WFM capabilities including timekeeping, scheduling, forecasting, attendance, and advanced scheduling.
• Design, develop, and support UKG Pro WFM integrations using APIs, event-driven architectures, and Boomi Integrations.
• Troubleshoot production issues and deliver enhancements, upgrades, and defect fixes.
• Use monitoring, logging, and observability to support reliable platform operations.
• Build scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions using modern software engineering and cloud-native principles.
• Develop functional, integration, performance, and failure test cases.
• Create technical documentation and participate in architecture reviews, incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate across teams and use Generative AI, Agentic AI, and automation to improve engineering productivity.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of software engineering experience with enterprise Workforce Management platforms and UKG Pro WFM.
• Strong experience with UKG Pro WFM timekeeping, scheduling, forecasting, attendance, advanced scheduling, and accruals.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, authentication, messaging, and event-driven enterprise integrations.
• Strong production troubleshooting skills covering monitoring, logging, and diagnostics.
• Understanding of cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, secure software development, and enterprise architecture principles.
• Strong communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing or supporting enterprise-scale UKG Pro Workforce Management.
• Experience building Boomi integrations or holding Boomi integration certification.
• Exposure to Java, Node.js, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or front-end technologies.
• Knowledge of microservices, messaging platforms, CI/CD, and cloud platforms.
• Experience applying Generative AI or intelligent automation in enterprise solutions.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery, incident management, observability, and OWASP secure development practices.
