Sr Engineer, Systems Software Automation

• 5+ years of experience in software development, test automation, software verification, or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong software development experience with Python or Java, including object-oriented programming, debugging, and development of reusable software components.
• Experience designing and maintaining automated test frameworks or substantial automation infrastructure.
• Experience testing microservice-based software systems with a distributed network topology, in on-prem, cloud (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), or hybrid deployments.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD systems, and modern software development practices.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Experience with medical devices, embedded systems, or other regulated products.
• Experience interfacing with physical devices, laboratory equipment, or test instrumentation.
• Experience testing complex systems involving software, hardware, embedded devices, and communication interfaces.
• Experience with virtualization platforms like VMware ESXi.
• Experience developing device simulators and emulators
• Experience with test frameworks such as pytest or TestNG.
• Familiarity with medical device software development, verification, and design control processes.
• Familiarity with healthcare interoperability or messaging standards (e.g., HL7, WCTP) or other structured data/protocol formats.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and container/orchestration tooling (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline required; master’s degree preferred.

Compensation + Benefits: The anticipated range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience. This position also qualifies for up to 10% annual bonus based on Company, department, and individual performance. This position primarily works in a laboratory environment.

It requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking.
