Genpact is hiring a senior database operations professional to support critical systems running 24x7x365.
The role focuses on SQL Server administration, application support, monitoring, troubleshooting, performance, security, and availability.

Core responsibilities
- Monitor dashboards, analyze events and resource contention, and resolve issues proactively.
- Install, configure, patch, upgrade, maintain, and troubleshoot SQL Server environments.
- Perform database backup, recovery, migration, performance tuning, integrity checks, and index maintenance.
- Support high availability and disaster recovery through clustering, Always On, mirroring, and log shipping.
- Deploy production scripts, follow change-control procedures, and enforce database security practices.
- Investigate outages, prepare root-cause analyses, and provide solutions for database failures.
- Administer monitoring infrastructure and improve observability across applications, infrastructure, databases, networks, and cloud services.
- Automate repeatable tasks, maintain runbooks, and document post-mortems and operational workflows.
