Role Overview
The Senior Engineer – Systems & MBD contributes to medical product or solution design and development from conception through design and verification and validation.
The role applies expert engineering knowledge and model-based design principles to accelerate development in collaboration with hardware and software teams.

Role overview
The Senior Engineer – Systems & MBD contributes to medical product or solution design and development from conception through design and verification and validation.
The role applies expert engineering knowledge and model-based design principles to accelerate development in collaboration with hardware and software teams.
The position is based out of Bangalore and reports to the Manager – Systems and V&V for Patient Support Systems and Global Surgical Solutions.
Responsibilities
- Define customer needs, functions, performance, usability, and safety requirements while considering regulatory constraints, trade-offs, and risks.
- Develop MATLAB system models using model-based design principles with hardware and software teams.
- Manage requirements and decompose system-level requirements into modules using standard tools and spreadsheets.
- Perform EN ISO 14971 risk management throughout the product life cycle.
- Support usability engineering, integration, development testing, and verification and validation activities.
- Prepare technical documentation and collaborate on design changes, reviews, and complex problem resolution.
