Position Summary
Independently design, develop, integrate, and validate electrical hardware for connected-home and consumer-electronics products.
Own electrical design activities from requirements and architecture through production transfer.
Collaborate with software, mechanical, RF, test, sourcing, quality, manufacturing, customers, and suppliers.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead electrical hardware development for wireless control, smart-home, thermostat, sensing, and embedded consumer-electronics products.
- Translate product and customer requirements into electrical architectures, schematics, specifications, interfaces, and bills of material.
- Design digital, analog, mixed-signal, power, battery, sensor, display, audio, infrared, and wireless-support circuitry.
- Select and qualify components based on technical, commercial, lifecycle, reliability, regulatory, and manufacturing requirements.
Validation and Production
- Guide PCB placement and routing with signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC, RF, thermal, testability, and manufacturing considerations.
- Execute prototype bring-up, debugging, characterization, design verification, tolerance analysis, worst-case analysis, and reliability testing.
