Role Overview
Senior Design Engineer responsible for independently managing 2D and 3D mechanical design activities for tanks, pressure vessels, fabricated equipment, piping-related components, and other engineering projects.
The role requires practical fabrication knowledge, engineering judgment, drawing-reading ability, dimensional accuracy, BOM accuracy, and accountability for assigned design work.
Department and Reporting
Department is Design and Engineering.
The role reports to the Design Manager, Engineering Manager, or management.
CAD and Design
- Prepare 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other relevant CAD or design software.
- Prepare general arrangement, fabrication, detail, part, assembly, manufacturing, modification, revision, layout, and applicable piping drawings.
- Convert rough drawings, hand sketches, concepts, site information, and verbal technical requirements into professional engineering drawings.
- Modify drawings based on customer, production, inspection, or site requirements.
- Maintain drawing numbering, revision control, and drawing history.
