Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and other Azure services.
• Develop and optimize storage solutions with Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, Snowflake, SQL, and Python.
• Translate stakeholder business requirements into technical solutions.
• Implement data quality, security, compliance, governance, and monitoring practices.
• Optimize data workflows and queries through performance tuning.
• Document data architecture, processes, and workflows.
• Enable advanced reporting and machine learning capabilities with analytics teams.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Strong experience with Azure data services and data engineering or transformation projects.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL, OLAP, and data modeling concepts.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.

Mandatory skills

• Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Databricks.
• Strong Python and SQL skills for data processing and transformation.
• Experience with ETL or ELT processes and data pipeline design.
• Experience with Snowflake.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture principles and scalability and security best practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in banking projects using Azure.
• Microsoft Azure certification, such as Azure Data Engineer Associate.
• Understanding of Power BI or other visualization tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
