Workplace and Schedule
- This is an onsite position at Carrier-Syracuse in East Syracuse, New York.
- The work schedule is Monday through Friday during daytime hours.
Role Summary
Support development of HVAC cooling and heat pump equipment, software and mechanical controls requirements, control boxes, and agency certification compliance.
Work in a local team of 3 to 5 engineers with larger extended teams and supporting groups.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide controls expertise for next-generation HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Conduct and coordinate tests for control and diagnostic systems.
- Assist with electronic data processing systems and commercial software engineering activities.
- Analyze system capabilities and end-user needs.
- Translate product requirements into control-system requirements.
- Prepare Qualification Review Board presentations and demonstrate Quality System tools.
- Perform reliability analysis and coordinate engineering documents and releases.
- Develop customer instructions and manuals and document process improvements.
