Sr. CNC Programmer

Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for CNC program creation, proofing, and implementation.

This position will support plant-wide Lean efforts, using real-time creativity and frugality to remove waste and improve NC programs, tools, and equipment.

include:

• Responsible for quality parts produced on CNC machines, such as but not limited to, lathes and milling machines
• Maintain at all times the highest levels of Accuracy and Quality in all machining operations
• Interprets drawings or specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
• 3, 4, & 5 axis programming of milling and routing machines (strong focus on 5-axis programming)
• Hands-on set-up and program verification on all machines
• Supports design and fabrication of all necessary CNC holding fixtures
• Detects equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjusts machine, within capabilities, controls or control media as required to insure quality of production. Reports all machine malfunctions to immediate supervisor.
• Lead/coordinate the training activities of all machine operators
• Assist engineers with product tool designs and participate in waste reduction and manufacturing process improvements
