Sr Civil Engineer

Job Summary

Project Planning and Design

• Lead the design and planning phase of residential construction projects.
• Oversee preparation and review of construction drawings, technical specifications, and engineering calculations.
• Review architectural and structural plans and coordinate with other disciplines.

Site Supervision and Construction

• Supervise day-to-day on-site operations and ensure construction follows approved designs and timelines.
• Monitor subcontractors, suppliers, and team members for compliance with safety, quality, and project requirements.
• Resolve engineering issues during construction and propose cost-effective solutions.

Quality, Safety, and Reporting

• Conduct site inspections, identify risks or delays, and take corrective actions.
• Oversee quality control procedures and verify that materials meet project requirements.
• Prepare project reports, progress updates, and risk assessments.
• Assist with budgeting, cost control, estimates, expense tracking, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain control over schedules and resources to deliver project milestones on time.

Collaboration and Leadership

• Lead and mentor junior engineers and on-site personnel.
• Coordinate with architects, project managers, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Facilitate communication between departments and external partners.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.
• At least 5 years of experience in civil engineering construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, site work, structural analysis, and geotechnical principles.
• Experience with surveying equipment and techniques.

Technical and Core Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other civil engineering design software.
• Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and legal requirements.
• Strong leadership, team management, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented approach focused on quality, safety, and timely project delivery.
