The Senior Business Systems Analyst performs business analysis activities on medium to large projects in a highly technical environment.
The role owns planning, elicitation, analysis, documentation, management, and support across requirements delivery.
Responsibilities
- Elicit and document business requirements, processes, user stories, data catalogues, business rules, use cases, and UI designs.
- Align and prioritize requirements with quarterly and annual business objectives.
- Partner with business stakeholders and IT teams to support alignment and system integration.
- Analyze integration options, address data quality issues, and contribute to data models, system architecture, and error handling.
- Apply enterprise planning and documentation methodologies and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
Required qualifications
- Three to five or more years of professional experience in insurance or financial services, with relevant domain expertise and Salesforce proficiency.
- Strong knowledge and leadership capabilities in Agile, Kanban, Scrum, and hybrid delivery environments.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with stakeholder collaboration, scope identification, change management, and professional relationship management.
- Proficiency with Jira and Confluence and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or related technical degree or diploma.
- CBAP or PMI-PBA certification.
- Experience with SQL, APIs, XML, JSON, data concepts, or AI tools.
Workplace and schedule
- The posting lists a Mississauga business park address and 37.5 work hours per week.
