Role Overview
AMD is seeking a Business Analyst to support the Memory Business Unit as its primary analyst and planner.
The role partners with Business Unit teams, Finance, Global Operations, Sales Operations, and Sales on demand forecasts, revenue attainment, and business planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop the Monthly Operations Forecast and Long-Range Plan for the Memory Business Unit.
- Manage demand planning, forecast accuracy, reporting, order scheduling, and weekly allocation recommendations.
- Develop business plans with cross-functional teams to support critical financial objectives.
- Balance product transitions, supply constraints, customer requirements, and market conditions in forecasts.
- Refresh, consolidate, and validate recurring business reports.
- Build and improve models for revenue forecasting, business analytics, market analysis, and demand-versus-supply planning.
- Monitor performance, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend actions for forecast or supply gaps.
- Support quarter-end close and analyze billings and backlog variances against sales forecasts.
- Promote effective use of Power BI, Model N, data cubes, Salesforce, and other internal tools.
- Investigate and resolve ad hoc business, reporting, and planning issues.
