Opportunity
The role performs business analysis activities on medium-to-large digital projects within a mortgage transformation program.
The position demonstrates advanced business analysis knowledge, applies competency in complex situations, and guides other professionals.
The role owns planning, elicitation, analysis, documentation, management, and support for requirements delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manage Agile ceremonies with the Product Owner and help decompose epics into user stories.
- Document and refine user stories with acceptance criteria, assumptions, constraints, dependencies, business rules, and data elements.
- Manage requirements risks, assumptions, and constraints and communicate them to relevant parties.
- Analyze stakeholders and facilitate refinement sessions and walkthroughs with technology, product, and design teams.
- Maintain reusable requirements documentation in Confluence following enterprise standards.
- Collaborate with Product, Development, subject matter experts, and UI/UX Design on application pages.
- Document test scenarios and support developers through requirements, build, and testing activities.
- Apply coverage analysis from vision through implementation and support junior business analysts.
Must-Have Qualifications
- At least five years of business analyst or business systems analyst experience.
- At least two years of experience on an Agile project.
- Independent business and systems requirements gathering experience.
- Online banking or mobile banking experience.
- Strong requirements methodology knowledge across Agile and Waterfall frameworks.
- Experience with user stories, specifications, context diagrams, business process maps, and large projects over $2 million.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, adaptability, and stakeholder facilitation skills.
- Knowledge of requirements documentation and modeling tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, JIRA, or Confluence.
- University bachelor's degree.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Previous RBC experience.
- Experience with accessibility requirements or BDD feature files.
- Master's Certificate in Business Analysis.
- CBAP or PMI-PBA certification.
- Experience with digital mortgage projects or mortgage financing and approval.
