Role Summary

Abbott is seeking an experienced Automation Lead with 10–15 years of software testing and automation experience.

The role leads automation initiatives for large enterprise projects and includes framework architecture and team management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end test automation strategy and execution for enterprise-grade applications.
  • Design and architect robust, scalable, and reusable automation frameworks.
  • Manage and mentor approximately 10 automation engineers.
  • Drive best practices in test automation, CI/CD integration, and DevOps.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, business stakeholders, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Use AI-driven approaches to accelerate script creation and maintenance.
  • Ensure functional, regression, performance, and integration test coverage.
  • Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and capability development.
  • Track automation metrics and improve quality processes.
  • Work with cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure.
  • Define the automation roadmap.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 10–12 years of experience in software testing and test automation.
  • Strong experience with Java, Selenium WebDriver, and Page Object Model.
  • Experience designing and architecting automation frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools for test automation and script generation.
  • Understanding of functional, regression, integration, system, performance, and UAT testing.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
  • Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with Git, GitHub, or a similar version control system.
  • Leadership, communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
