Description
WISE, or Workforce Intelligence powered by Scientific Engineering, provides the scientific and engineering foundation for Amazon's enterprise-wide workforce planning ecosystem.
The team supports workforce composition, organizational structure, geographic footprint, and sustainable cost planning.
The Senior Applied Scientist joins the ML and AI team to work on advanced optimization and LLM solutions.
Role scope
- Partner with software engineers, machine learning engineers, data engineers, scientists, TPMs, product managers, and senior management to create workforce solutions.
- Use machine learning, advanced analytics, metrics, reporting, and analytic tools to translate data into insights and support strategic decisions.
- Own operational and technical aspects of business insights and build solutions that enable effective management decisions.
- Identify process and system improvement opportunities and demonstrate the value of automation and data-driven planning tools.
Key job responsibilities
- Drive crisp and timely execution of engineering milestones and advise on design and technology tradeoffs.
- Manage diverse requests and dependencies from teams.
