Role overview
Work with a portfolio of corporate customers on their foreign exchange and payments requirements.
Engage customers to apply Convera’s services to their business needs and achieve business goals.
Responsibilities
- Deliver an excellent client experience to approximately 60 to 80 corporate Canadian customers.
- Manage and transact a wide range of FX deals across the product range.
- Retain clients and maximize upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
- Use advice and expertise from across the business to make effective decisions.
- Contact and meet customers proactively to understand requirements and exceed targets.
Required qualifications
- Experience in foreign exchange sales or dealing is required.
- Proven ability to build and grow customer relationships.
- Comfort on the phone with corporate customers.
- Proactive approach to finding new relationships and opportunities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
- Degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or another quantitative discipline.
- Bilingual English and Mandarin communication skills.
Preferred qualifications
- At least 36 months of experience dealing hedging solutions for corporate or SME customers.
- In-depth knowledge of FX option structures and hedging strategies.
- Ability to structure FX option hedging solutions.
- Technical and fundamental understanding of financial markets.
- Ability to present technical and fundamental knowledge in a saleable form.
- Sales experience in business development or upselling to existing clients.
- Excellent communication, listening, presentation, and time management skills.
- Solid IT skills using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Reuters, and Bloomberg.
- MBA or CFA designation, or progress toward one, is an asset.
Compensation
- The role pays $100,000 to $125,000 per year plus 30% variable compensation.
- Final compensation may vary based on individual circumstances and business needs.
