Overview
Latin Textiles & Trade DMCC is seeking a SQL Server Database Administrator to manage and optimize SQL Server environments.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, upgrade, and manage SQL Server (2008 R2–2016).
- Implement HADR solutions – AlwaysON, clustering, log shipping.
- Perform database migrations, backup/restore, and disaster recovery.
- Troubleshoot performance issues (corruption, blocking, deadlocks, indexing).
- Write and optimize T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers.
- Monitor and optimize system resources (CPU, memory, storage, I/O).
- Provide 24x7 production support for critical databases.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science/IT or related field.
- 4+ years as a SQL Server DBA.
- Strong knowledge of SSMS, SQL Profiler, DTA, clustering, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on with Windows Server 2012/2016, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy.
- Familiarity with VMware/Hyper-V.
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals certification preferred.
- Exposure to Azure SQL and hybrid cloud database solution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science/IT or related field.
