Job Summary
The SQL / Progress Database Administrator (DBA) supports ISCorp’s secure private cloud infrastructure and application hosting environments with a primary focus on database platforms. This position is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, optimization, and monitoring of database systems that support ISCorp’s hosted services and internal operations. The DBA ensures the reliability, performance, integrity, and security of database environments while providing exceptional customer service to both internal users and external clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server and Progress OpenEdge database environments across production and development systems.
- Install, configure, and upgrade Progress OpenEdge landscapes across Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Perform routine database maintenance tasks including re-indexing, index rebuilds, integrity checks, and dump and load operations.
- Design, implement, and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies, including roll-forward recovery using after-imaging.
