Responsibilities
- Administer SQL Server databases (2012 2022) ensuring performance, integrity, availability, and security
- Perform MS SQL and OS performance monitoring and adjustments
- Implement and manage high availability features (Always On, Mirroring, Replication, Log Shipping)
- Manage SQL Server clustering (Active Passive and Active Active)
- Implement DR solutions using SAN based replication
- Perform SQL Server upgrades and patching
- Migrate data between SQL Server versions/instances and integrate data from various sources
- Analyze and optimize database performance (index optimization, query tuning, resource utilization)
- Administer SQL Server BI features (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS)
- Implement database security features (Dynamic Data Masking)
- Configure and analyze performance reports using Management Data Warehouse and Performance Dashboard
- Automate maintenance tasks using SQL scripting
Requirements
- 8+ years of IT experience
- Excellent skills in Administration of SQL Server 2012 2022
- Hands on experience in SQL Server high availability features (Always On, Mirroring, Replication, Log Shipping)
- Hands on experience in SQL Server clustering (Active Passive and Active Active)
- Experience in implementing DR solutions using SAN based replication
- Experience in SQL Server upgrades, patching, and migrations
- Experience in database performance optimization (index optimization, query tuning)
- Hands on experience with SSRS, SSAS, SSIS
- Experience implementing database security features (Dynamic Data Masking)
- Good SQL scripting knowledge for automating maintenance tasks
- Knowledge of network and storage management
- Knowledge of linking SQL Server with other RDBMS (Oracle, open source)

Role Overview
- In this role as a SQL Database Administrator, candidate must have more than 8+ years of IT experience and will be responsible as a team member for administration, performance tuning, integrity, availability and security of SQL Server databases.
Requirements
- Excellent skills in Administration of SQL Server 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2022 and a good knowledge of physical/Logical database design
- Ability to perform both MS SQL and also operating system performance monitoring and the necessary adjustments
- Hands on experience in the implementation of SQL server High availability features like Always on, SQL Mirroring, SQL Replication and SQL Log shipping
- Candidate must have good hands on experience in Cluster Setup
- Hands on experience in Active passive and Active Active SQL server clustering
- Good understanding of databases features. Ability to manage multiple tasks including Incident/Ticket management, Upgrades, and Deployments
- Hand on experience in implementing DR solutions using the SAN based replication is a must
- Experience in performing SQL server upgrades and patching to ensure the environment is up to date
- Experience in migrating data between different SQL Server versions or instances and integrating data from various sources
- Experience in analyzing and optimizing database performance, including index optimization, query tuning, and resource utilization (Build & Run)
- Hand on experience in using the tools like SQL profiler, database Tuning Advisor and others
- Hands on experience in the Administration of SQL server business intelligence features like SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
