We’re now looking for a qualified Spray Painter to join our busy Burnie workshop.
This is a permanent opportunity to put your spray-painting skills to work on genuine Caterpillar equipment and new fabricated components, while building a long-term career with a business that invests in its people.
Based in our new, state-of-the-art Paint Shop, you’ll work alongside a high-performing team responsible for preparing and painting Caterpillar machinery to the high standards our customers expect. You’ll also take ownership of paint stock, paint booth operator maintenance and ensuring associated equipment is maintained to a high standard.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Fabrication Supervisor, you’ll play an important role in ensuring Caterpillar equipment is prepared, painted and presented to a high standard.
Key responsibilities of the role
- Preparing and spray-painting Caterpillar equipment and machinery
- Ensuring machinery is maintained and presented to company standards
- Management of stock holdings
- Starting the day with a CAT meeting, covering safety and key topics
- Working alongside a high-performing team who take pride in the Cat product
- Helping minimise machine downtime and maximise workshop productivity
- Providing training and advice to trade assistants assigned to support in preparation and painting
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment
- ABOUT YOU
To be considered for this role you will have the following skills, experience & attributes
- A recognised qualification as a Spray Painter, preferably with industrial equipment experience
- A strong commitment to safety, health and environment procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work
- A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to be part of a team
- Strong mechanical aptitude would be highly regarded
- Familiarity with Caterpillar machinery would be advantageous
