Job Summary

  • The Speech Therapist is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating children with speech, language, communication, voice, and swallowing disorders.
  • Developing individualized treatment plans, conducting therapy sessions, and working closely with families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct speech and language assessments and evaluations
  • Diagnose speech, language, communication, voice, and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide one on one and group therapy sessions
  • Monitor client progress and modify intervention programs as required
  • Maintain accurate clinical records, reports, and progress notes
  • Educate and support parents, caregivers, and family members
  • Collaborate with occupational therapists, teachers, behaviour therapists, psychologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and case discussions
  • Participate in continuing professional development and training activities

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology, Speech Therapy
  • Valid DHA License or DHA Eligibility Letter as a Speech Therapist
  • Minimum of five years of clinical experience (preferred)
  • Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, developmental delays, and speech and language disorders is an advantage
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Compensation
