Role Overview
The analyst works under the supervision of the Data Systems Coordinator.
The role analyzes, designs, develops, and manages programming and information-resource solutions for school-board business needs.
The incumbent acts as a subject-matter expert in information systems management, business processes, quality, and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate complex program and project requests and perform preliminary and detailed analyses.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses, establish implementation deadlines, and model business processes.
- Advise stakeholders on technological solutions, costs, and request progress.
- Participate in project portfolios, trials, proofs of concept, integrations, and production launches.
- Prepare work plans, monitor project execution, and manage project-task administration, deployment, scheduling, and optimization.
- Develop operational documentation, contribute to end-of-project reports, and coordinate user training.
- Provide advice and support to management and coordinate the work of IT analysts.
- Monitor technology developments and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
