Responsibilities
- Review and oversee FEED structural design for offshore facilities including jackets, topsides, decks, wellhead platforms, bridges, and modules
- Verify structural design basis, load cases, and analysis methodologies
- Review and approve EPC contractor deliverables such as structural calculations, drawings, and specifications
- Ensure contractor compliance with ADNOC Offshore standards, project requirements, and international codes
- Review and validate structural analyses including in place, load out, transportation, installation, fatigue, and seismic analysis
- Coordinate with process, piping, mechanical, marine, geotechnical, and HSE teams
- Support HAZID, HAZOP, constructability, and SIMOPS reviews
- Review fabrication drawings and evaluate load out, lifting, and offshore installation strategies
- Review and approve FEED deliverables including structural design basis, GA drawings, and analysis reports
- Provide regular progress and technical updates to ADNOC Offshore PMC management
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in the oil and gas sector
- Minimum 5 7 years in offshore FEED / detailed engineering projects
- Experience in WHT, subsea pipeline installation, and marine operations
- Strong knowledge of offshore structural systems (jackets, topsides, modular structures)
- Knowledge of international codes (API RP 2A, ISO 19902, DNV ST standards)
- Experience with structural analysis software (e.g., SACS, STAAD, SESAM)
- Prior experience in PMC roles and ADNOC Offshore projects is highly preferred
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent preferred

Job Overview
- KBR is growing its Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team for an offshore development in Abu Dhabi.
- The role will be based initially in Contractors Office in Abu Dhabi, then move outside UAE to an Asian Country for 6 8 months, then return to UAE.
- Project duration is until 2028 with possible extension.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and oversee FEED structural design for offshore facilities including jackets, topsides, decks, wellhead platforms, bridges, and modules.
- Ensure designs meet functional requirements, constructability, and lifecycle performance.
- Verify structural design basis, load cases, and analysis methodologies.
- Review and approve EPC contractor deliverables such as structural calculations, drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure contractor compliance with ADNOC Offshore standards, project requirements, and international codes.
- Monitor engineering progress, highlight risks, and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
- Participate in technical bid evaluations and vendor assessments.
- Review and validate structural analyses including in place, load out, transportation, installation, fatigue, and seismic analysis.
- Ensure accurate consideration of environmental loads (wave, wind, current, temperature).
- Verify compliance with codes such as API RP 2A, ISO 19902, and DNV standards.
- Ensure structural integrity through proper material selection, corrosion allowance, and protective systems.
- Coordinate with process, piping, mechanical, marine, geotechnical, and HSE teams.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent.
- Master's degree in Structural Engineering is an advantage.
- Minimum Overall 15+ years of experience in the oil and gas sector.
- Minimum 5 7 years in offshore FEED / detailed engineering projects.
- Experience in WHT, subsea pipeline installation, and marine operations.
- 12 15+ years of experience in structural engineering within oil & gas.
- Prior experience working in PMC roles and ADNOC Offshore projects is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of offshore structural systems (jackets, topsides, modular structures).
- Knowledge of international codes (API RP 2A, ISO 19902, DNV ST standards).
- Experience with structural analysis software (e.g., SACS, STAAD, SESAM).
- Experience in shallow water offshore projects in the Middle East is advantageous.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent preferred.
