About the Role

Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic respiratory diseases, including asthma, COPD, pneumonia, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary fibrosis, sleep related breathing disorders, and other pulmonary conditions
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations
- Interpret pulmonary function tests (PFTs), chest imaging, arterial blood gases (ABGs), bronchoscopy findings, and other diagnostic investigations
- Perform bronchoscopic procedures and other pulmonary interventions as appropriate
- Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress
- Manage patients requiring respiratory support, including non invasive ventilation and oxygen therapy
- Collaborate with intensivists, internal medicine physicians, thoracic surgeons, and other specialists for comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, preventive care, smoking cessation, and lifestyle modifications
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in accordance with DHA regulations and hospital policies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and continuing medical education activities
- Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and ethical medical practices
Requirements
- Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution
- Master's Degree, MD, DNB, or equivalent specialization in Pulmonology/Respiratory Medicine
- DHA Eligibility Letter, DHA License, or eligibility to obtain a DHA license as a Specialist Pulmonologist
- Minimum of 3–5 years of post specialization experience as a Specialist Pulmonologist
- Experience in bronchoscopy, pulmonary function testing, and management of critical respiratory conditions
- Valid BLS and ACLS certifications (preferred)
- Fellowship or additional training in Interventional Pulmonology or Sleep Medicine is an advantage

Job Summary
