- Evaluate patients' medical history, symptoms, and perform thorough oral and maxillofacial examinations
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X rays, CT scans, and MRI scans
- Diagnose and treat various conditions, including facial trauma, jaw misalignment, TMJ disorders, and oral cancers
- Perform complex surgical procedures, such as maxillofacial reconstructions, orthognathic surgeries, and dental implant placements
- Utilize advanced surgical techniques, technologies, and instrumentation to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Manage and mitigate post operative complications when necessary
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including dentists, orthodontists, and plastic surgeons, to optimize patient care
- Stay updated on the latest advancements and research in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery through continuous learning and professional development
Requirements
- Medical degree and valid license to practice as a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon
- Proven experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of oral and maxillofacial conditions
- Expertise in performing complex oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures
- Strong knowledge of advanced surgical techniques, technologies, and instrumentation specific to oral and maxillofacial surgery
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented mindset and ability to prioritize and manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills specific to oral and maxillofacial cases
