Risk Strategy & Strategic Planning: Support Group Risk’s inputs into the Bank’s annual strategic planning, corporate budgeting cycles, and corporate scorecard initiatives.

Quantitative Analysis & Reporting: Lead report writing and uplift through strong quantitative analysis and data visualisation, creating clear and concise board and committee papers.
Enterprise Risk Uplift: Drive strategic, enterprise-wide risk uplift initiatives, leveraging AI and other technologies to uplift deliverables and respond to emerging priorities.
Scenario Testing & Simulations: Support complex, enterprise-wide simulation exercises to test and validate the effectiveness of various actions under stress scenarios.
Regulatory Support: Assist in coordinating and maintaining the Bank's APRA CPS190 (Recovery) and CPS900 (Resolution) planning requirements to ensure compliance with regulatory expectations.
This role requires a unique blend of analytical expertise, financial acumen, and outstanding communication skills.
Essential:
Financial Services Experience: Proven background in banking or financial services, ideally within Enterprise Risk, Treasury, or Corporate Strategy.
Analytical & Quantitative Skills: Strong experience in quantitative analysis, leading report writing, and uplifting reporting quality.
Data Visualisation: Strong analytical and data visualisation skills (e.g., Power BI), coupled with a continuous-improvement mindset for uplifting board/committee papers and risk reporting.
Stakeholder Management: Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently engage, guide, and collaborate with Senior Leaders and Line 1 Risk & Compliance teams across the enterprise.
Exceptional Communication Skills: Highly developed written and verbal skills, with a proven capability to translate complex risk and financial concepts into clear, high-quality Executive and Board-level briefings.
Technical Proficiency: Expert experience in using Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Power BI, with an ability to leverage AI to uplift deliverables.
Agility & Growth Mindset: A proactive, curious approach to problem-solving, with the resilience to thrive and adapt in an environment with high levels of ambiguity and shifting executive priorities.
Desirable:
Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Finance, Business, Commerce, or Actuarial Science).
Practical hands-on experience with Recovery and/or Resolution Plans (ideally under APRA regulatory frameworks like CPS190/CPS900).
