Areas of Responsibility
- Supervise and monitor fire inspection patrols and fire inspection checklists.
- Conduct periodic site audits to maintain high fire safety standards.
- Advise line management on applicable legal and company fire safety standards.
- Liaise with Civil Defense representatives during inspections and prevention activities.
- Identify accident and fire hazards, prepare reports, and recommend preventive measures.
Success Indicators
No fire occurrences or issues.
Elimination of fire risks.
Elimination of risks to employees.
Current training and completion of individual training plans.
Activities
- Advise on fire warning and firefighting equipment required across business areas.
- Maintain readiness of fire detection, alarm, suppression, water, hydrant, and firefighting systems.
- Ensure regular safety training and fire drills are delivered.
- Report inspection findings and recommend corrective actions for non-conformances.
- Maintain firefighting appliances and verify their suitability for use.
- Lead a trained employee firefighting team.
- Assess accident causes, prepare reports, and recommend future prevention measures.
- Develop and implement hazardous chemical storage and handling procedures.
- Train managers to deliver basic fire prevention training to staff.
- Promote fire and chemical safety awareness and respond to related issues.
Essential Qualification
- Possess a Fire Protection Association Diploma or another recognized qualification.
