- As a Specialist in Pain Medicine, you will deliver evidence-based treatments aimed at alleviating pain and improving patient well-being.
- You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, physiotherapists, and psychologists to ensure holistic care.
- This position offers an opportunity to contribute to public health by enhancing pain management services within the government healthcare system.
- Key Responsibilities:* Conduct thorough clinical evaluations of patients presenting with acute and chronic pain conditions
- Develop and implement individualized pain management plans using pharmacological and interventional techniques
- Perform relevant procedures such as nerve blocks and other minimally invasive interventions as indicated
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care
- Provide patient education on pain management strategies and rehabilitation
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to government healthcare protocols and standards
- Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to service improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Medical degree and specialist certification or equivalent qualification in Pain Medicine
- Experience working in a clinical setting, preferably in government or public healthcare institutions
- Proficiency in pain assessment, diagnosis, and management including interventional procedures
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of government healthcare policies, protocols, and standards
- Ability to manage caseload efficiently and prioritize patient needs
- Commitment to continuous learning and adherence to professional ethical standards
