Special Security Representative

The Special Security Representative (SSR) will support the daily management and implementation of Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security and administrative functions within a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF).

The SSR will work closely with military senior leaders, parent Special Security Offices, and Army Reserve Military Intelligence personnel to maintain a compliant and operationally ready SCI security program.

This role requires sound judgment, close attention to detail, and the ability to translate security regulations and policy into effective day-to-day practices.

The successful candidate will help ensure that personnel, facilities, records, and training platforms meet applicable SCI security requirements, including Intelligence Community Directive 705 (ICD-705) standards.

• Support the day-to-day administration and management of SCI security operations within the SCIF.
• Implement, maintain, and monitor SCI security protocols, procedures, and internal controls.
• Assist military senior leaders with SCI program management, policy development, planning, and operational integration.
• Coordinate with parent Special Security Offices to align local security practices with higher-level guidance and directives.
• Advise leadership and personnel on applicable SCI security regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor program compliance, identify deficiencies, and recommend or implement corrective actions.
• Support the training readiness of Army Reserve Military Intelligence Soldiers by ensuring that training platforms and facilities comply with ICD-705 standards.
• Maintain accurate records of SCI security activities, inspections, incidents, corrective actions, and other required program documentation.
• Prepare and submit reports, briefings, and security documentation to leadership and relevant security offices.
• Respond to security incidents within the SCIF, support or conduct investigations, document findings, and coordinate corrective measures.
• Develop and deliver SCI security education, awareness, and training for assigned personnel.
• Reinforce personnel compliance with established security policies, procedures, and safeguarding requirements.
• Must have at least 5 years of experience as a special security representative in an SCI environment, security program administration, or a closely related field.
• Must have practical experience with ICD-705 requirements and SCIF compliance.
