- Translate documents and written content from Spanish into English
- Ensure translations accurately reflect the meaning, tone, and intent of the original content
- Review and proofread translated documents for grammar, spelling, consistency, and accuracy
- Maintain appropriate terminology, formatting, and style throughout the translated materials
- Conduct necessary terminology research to ensure accurate translation of technical or specialised content
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all documents and information received
- Complete assigned translation projects within the agreed timelines
- Coordinate with the project team to clarify terminology, context, or content related questions
- Revise translated materials based on feedback, where required
Requirements
- Native or near native proficiency in Spanish
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Proven experience in Spanish to English translation
- Strong grammar, vocabulary, proofreading, and editing skills
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and commonly used document formats
- Must currently be based in Abu Dhabi or available to work in Abu Dhabi when required

Job Summary
- We are seeking a qualified and experienced Spanish to English Translator based in Abu Dhabi to provide accurate and professional translation services on a contract basis.
- The translator will be responsible for translating written materials from Spanish into clear, natural, and grammatically correct English while maintaining the original meaning, tone, context, and terminology.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate documents and written content from Spanish into English.
- Ensure translations accurately reflect the meaning, tone, and intent of the original content.
- Review and proofread translated documents for grammar, spelling, consistency, and accuracy.
- Maintain appropriate terminology, formatting, and style throughout the translated materials.
- Conduct necessary terminology research to ensure accurate translation of technical or specialised content.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all documents and information received.
- Complete assigned translation projects within the agreed timelines.
- Coordinate with the project team to clarify terminology, context, or content related questions.

Candidate Requirements
- Native or near native proficiency in Spanish.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Proven experience in Spanish to English translation.
- Strong grammar, vocabulary, proofreading, and editing skills.
- Ability to understand cultural differences and adapt translations appropriately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and commonly used document formats.
- Familiarity with translation software or CAT tools would be an advantage.
- Previous experience translating business, legal, technical, training, or corporate documents would be preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Languages, Linguistics, English, Spanish, or a related field is preferred.
- Professional translation certification would be an advantage.
- Relevant translation experience and work samples may be requested.
Additional Requirements
- The candidate must currently be based in Abu Dhabi or be available to work in Abu Dhabi when required.
- Availability for contract based or project based assignments.
- Ability to provide translated work within agreed turnaround times.
