- Oversee the daily operations of the pastry section and support the Executive Chef in achieving culinary excellence
- Prepare and supervise the production of cakes, plated desserts, breads, viennoiserie, and specialty pastries
- Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all pastry items
- Contribute to menu development and seasonal dessert offerings
- Train, coach, and supervise pastry team members
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards
- Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control while minimizing waste
- Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth operations and timely execution
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in pastry production
- At least 5 years in a Sous Chef or supervisory role
- Experience in upscale casual dining, premium restaurants, hotels, or fine dining
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, bread and viennoiserie production, plated desserts, and modern presentation
- Experience with Japanese inspired desserts is an advantage
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast paced environment
- Good understanding of food cost control and inventory management
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred
- Currently in the UAE and available for immediate joining preferred

Position Overview
