Role Overview
Bazerkan Lebanese Restaurant is seeking an experienced and hands-on Sous Chef to take charge of daily kitchen operations and lead the culinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team during daily operations and service.
- Manage kitchen workflow, station allocation, mise en place, and production.
- Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, portion control, and recipe standards.
- Train, coach, and motivate kitchen team members.
- Monitor food safety, hygiene, cleanliness, and HACCP standards.
- Control food waste, stock usage, and kitchen costs.
- Coordinate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth and timely service.
- Handle kitchen issues and make operational decisions quickly.
- Take full responsibility for the kitchen when the Head Chef is absent.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or senior kitchen leader.
- Strong leadership and team-management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety.
- Understanding of food cost, inventory, and waste control.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on, organized, and solution-oriented approach.
- At least four years of Sous Chef experience is required.
