In this role, you will provide leadership to manage and execute upon strategies for a customized contract and program portfolio that meets the unique needs of the Excelerate Health Sourcing, LLC Members.

Excelerate is a provider-led, physician-engaged change management model jointly owned by Cleveland Clinic, OhioHealth, and Vizient.

The Excelerate sourcing team is charged with delivering best-in-class contracting strategies and expertise that allows its members to capitalize on recurring physician/clinical variation and cost reduction opportunities.

This sourcing position will contribute to all aspects of Excelerate’s Orthopedic/Neuro strategic sourcing processes, including opportunity identification, strategy, contract development, supplier partnerships, negotiations, documentation, and clinical packaging for implementation.

• Establish and maintain relationships with the Cleveland Clinic staff, Excelerate members, and Vizient stakeholders.
• Establish and elevate strategic relationships with key suppliers in the Orthopedic/Surgical service lines.
• In collaboration with the Cleveland Clinic, identify, prioritize, and execute on current and future variation and utilization opportunities.
• Develop and implement business processes to meet financial goals.
• Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of objectives and goals.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and leaders to execute on Excelerate’s performance goals, business objectives and improve best practices.
• Provide leadership and consultation in identifying, analyzing, and managing innovative and complex cost savings and clinical variation strategies.

• Relevant degree preferred.
• 7 or more years’ experience required.
• Strong negotiation skills and proven success in complex negotiations required.
• Experience in health care supply cost management and contracting preferred.
• Ability to coach and support others through leadership and collaborative partnership skills.
• Proven ability in operational planning.
• Experience in developing customized solutions for large complex organizations with suppliers using consultative skills.
• Ability to excel, lead, and influence in a matrix environment.
• Strong relationship building and strategic partnering skills.
• Willingness to travel.
