Tasks
Operate and manage sound and lighting equipment for various events and performances, ensuring high-quality production standards.
Collaborate with event planners, directors, and other technical staff to design and execute lighting and sound plans that meet specific requirements and enhance the audience's experience.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of audio and lighting systems to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime during events.
Set up, test, and adjust sound and lighting equipment prior to events, making necessary calibrations and configurations for optimal performance.
Stay updated on new technologies and trends in sound and lighting to continually improve skills and suggest innovative solutions for upcoming projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience in operating sound and lighting equipment in an architectural or event planning environment.
- Strong understanding of audio and lighting control systems, including digital consoles and DMX lighting protocols.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly and effectively during live events to ensure minimal disruption.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with event planners, performers, and other technical staff.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate event schedules.
