Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and specialized ultrasound examinations, including obstetric, gynecologic, and general scans.
  • Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and ensure proper documentation of findings.
  • Assist physicians with interventional ultrasound procedures when required.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, reports, and digital imaging archives.
  • Ensure proper operation, calibration, and maintenance of ultrasound equipment.
  • Follow infection control and radiation safety policies in compliance with UAE healthcare standards.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, obstetricians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis and patient care.
  • Participate in continuous professional development, training, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical and professional conduct at all times.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Medical Imaging.
  • Must hold a valid DOH / DHA / MOH license as a Sonographer in the UAE.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in ultrasound imaging, with a strong focus on obstetrics and gynecology .
  • Experience working in a hospital or multi-specialty healthcare facility in the UAE preferred.
  • Proficiency in 2D, 3D, and Doppler ultrasound techniques.
  • Strong understanding of fetal growth assessment and anomaly detection.
  • Familiarity with PACS and RIS systems.
  • Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Compassionate and professional approach to patient care.
  • Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
