Role overview
Appnovation is seeking a Principal Solutions Architect to define architecture for a governed, zero-copy, cross-cloud data platform.
The role owns end-to-end solution architecture and establishes standards and integration priorities for the engineering team.
The position combines platform strategy, modern data engineering, architectural governance, and hands-on technical leadership.
Role responsibilities
- Own architecture for a zero-copy data platform spanning Databricks, Snowflake, and adjacent cloud data sources.
- Create decision records, reference architectures, solution diagrams, and design standards.
- Provide build-versus-integrate recommendations and define catalog and metadata integration patterns.
- Design agent- and MCP-based access to governed data products for enterprise AI tools.
- Set future-state direction for data products, cross-source composition, and agentic consumption.
- Align the platform with enterprise engineering practices and guide the engineering team.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
