Location and Travel
- Home-based role with regular travel to Ambulance Trusts and suppliers across England.
Role Overview
Provide design, implementation guidance, assurance and support for data centre networks, WAN and Trust integrations.
The Ambulance Radio Programme provides mission-critical communications for ambulance services across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with suppliers, the ARP team and Ambulance Trusts to maintain network delivery across ARP technologies.
- Specify, design and select control room solutions that meet end-user utility and warranty requirements.
- Lead technical planning, design, options appraisal, testing and delivery of the end product.
- Investigate emerging mobile device technologies and advise on future technical trends.
- Assess control room, mobile device and associated protocol technologies.
- Provide technical guidance to technical, service and user communities.
Required Expertise
- Full Cisco CCIE qualification is required.
- Specialist skills in 2G, 3G and 4G/LTE technologies are required.
- Experience in mission-critical programmes is required.
