Solar Technician

Responsibilities

• Conduct on site assessments to determine optimal solar panel placement and system design based on energy needs and site conditions.
• Install solar panels, racking systems, inverters, and other electrical components, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and building codes.
• Perform electrical wiring and connections, including AC and DC circuits, ensuring proper grounding and voltage levels.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose system malfunctions, using diagnostic tools to identify and resolve electrical and mechanical issues.
• Conduct routine maintenance and preventative checks, including cleaning panels, inspecting wiring, and verifying system performance.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
• Document all installations, maintenance, and repair activities, including detailed records of work performed and materials used.
• Educate customers on solar system operation, maintenance, and energy efficiency best practices.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Stay updated on industry advancements, emerging technologies, and changes in electrical codes and regulations.
